Subscriptions vs Credit Packs

Adobe Stock also sells Credit Packs - one-time purchases of 3, 16, 40, or 80 credits valid for 1 year. Credits are not the same as subscription assets: one credit buys one standard image, but premium, video, and editorial assets cost more credits.

Subscription wins when:

  • You consistently use 5+ assets/month
  • Your usage is predictable month-to-month
  • You want the lowest per-asset rate (sub beats pack at volume)

Credit Pack wins when:

  • Your usage is sporadic or seasonal
  • You need fewer than 5 assets/month
  • You have a one-off project with known asset count

Annual vs Monthly Billing: The Math

Annual billing offers significant savings but commits you to a 12-month contract. Early cancellation triggers a 50% early termination fee on remaining months.

PlanMonthly costAnnual costYou saveBreak-even month
10 Assets$359.88$289.80$70.0810 months
25 Assets$599.88$485.40$114.4810 months
40 Assets$959.88$776.88$183.0010 months

Break-even month: the point at which annual billing has paid off vs monthly billing. If you plan to use the service for fewer months, monthly is safer despite the higher cost.
